EQOBRUSH, Automatic tube cleaning system for Shell and Tube Heat Exchangers such as chiller or power plant condensers or industrial heat exchangers (all will be included in the acronym HE for Heat Exchanger), needs a reversal valve to reverse the water flow to HE on a regular basis.
Commonly used are the so-called plug valves.
Plug Valves are quarter-turn valves used to control fluid flow through a pipe. A plug valve constricts flow using a ported plug that swivels in the flow stream to constrict or allow flow.
Usually PlugValves come with a design shortcoming of water leakage from cold water into the hot water stream. This is caused by the pressure difference in the 2 sides of the valve. The result of this water leakage or water bypass (which we refer to as cross-over) is that the HE receives less cold water and it reduces the cooling capacity of the HE.
The plug valves also cause a high pressure drop over the valve due to complicated water flow inside the valve.
Watco Group team realized the need in a flow-reversal valve that didn’t have any cross-over and minimal additional pressure loss, so as to achieve full performance of the HE unit at minimal energy cost. So the swing box was invented.

The swing box mechanism runs on the inner side of valve’s cover which has excellent sealing conditions with sealing material (Teflon), that allows the system operate with longer lifespan.
The valve body has a compact axial dimension and low requirement of the installation space. Easy to retrofit in most of the piping layout.
